Restart steam.

if it does not work after that then Close steam from the tray
->
run your game again.

Step 2
if that does not work then
Log out of steam,
->
then log back in.
->
Try your game again.
->
if this does not work then
->
Close steam.

Step 3
Go to my computer
->
C,d,e drive "wich ever hard drive u have steam on"
->
open Program Files
->
then open Steam folder
->
then find ClientRegistry.blob
->
and then delete it.
->
Close steam.
->
Restart steam
->
Then your steam will auto update.
